The I SEE kick-off meeting took place in Helsinki (Finland) in the period 12th – 14th October 2016.
All the project partners gathered for a three-day meeting hosted by the University of Helsinki and the Normal Lyceum of Helsinki.
In a collaborative and friendly atmosphere, the I SEE CoP (community of practice) shared objectives, outputs and activities. It also made important decisions about the first year implementation and the distribution of responsibility within the project (click here to see the agenda of the meeting).
The first day was devoted to share the main ideas and the philosophy of the project: the coordinator Olivia Levrini prepared an overview of I SEE (click here) that was discussed among the community; Alessia Marchi, personnel of the Erasmus plus project manager office in Bologna, dealt with budgeting issue and its operative implications (click here). The second day was devoted to seminars about the core ideas of the project and workshop activities: Laura Branchetti and Giulia Tasquier, from University of Bologna, respectively presented a review on “Future studies and future-oriented science education” (click here) and the results of a trial experience titled “Developing future-scaffolding skills: pilot study on a teaching/learning module about climate change and Project Cycle” (click here); Caitlin Wilson, from Landvernd, presented the main methodological aspects that are fundamental part of the project “Action competence and exposure” (click here); finally, Antti Laherto, from the University of Helsinki, presented “Examples of modules from other projects” in order to trigger the discussion of how to characterize an I SEE module. The afternoon workshop aimed to share and discuss key-issues of the project, related to the contents, the organization and the working plan. In the third daythe meeting was host by the Normal Lyceum. The CoP discussed about the Dissemination and Evaluation plans, the Partnership Agreement and the plans for the next steps.
The kick-off meeting represented an important moment of coordination for the project as well as a chance for triggering good relationship for working together within the project.
